11–12 February 2027 | Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic
The next Slavic Learner Corpus Workshop (SLCW 2027) will take place at Charles University in Prague on 11–12 February 2027. The workshop is organised by the Slavic Learner Corpus Research Group at Charles University.
Continuing the informal and discussion-oriented format of the previous workshops, SLCW 2027 will provide a space for presenting ongoing research, sharing information about learner corpora and resources, and exchanging methodological ideas and experience.
The suggested common topic for the Prague workshop is case in Slavic learner language, with the aim of exploring case-related phenomena across different Slavic languages and learner corpora and providing a basis for cross-linguistic comparison. Contributions on other aspects of learner corpus research, learner language, data-driven learning, corpus-based language teaching, and the development of learner corpora, tools and resources are also welcome.
Reflecting the increasingly international character of the community, English will be the main working language of the Prague workshop.

12–13 February 2025 | University of Warsaw, Poland
The second workshop was held at the University of Warsaw on 12–13 February 2025. It was organised by the Institute of Western and Southern Slavic Studies (ISZiP), University of Warsaw, in cooperation with Charles University.
Building on the first meeting held in Ostrava in 2023, the Warsaw workshop significantly broadened the scope of the initiative. It brought together ten researchers representing Charles University, the University of Warsaw, the University of Gdańsk, Comenius University Bratislava, the University of Prešov, the Ľudovít Štúr Institute of Linguistics of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, and Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica.
The workshop provided a platform for presenting learner corpus projects and research involving Czech, Polish, and Slovak, as well as for discussing methodological approaches, corpus development, annotation, and possibilities for closer cooperation among researchers working on Slavic learner language.
Reflecting its multilingual character, the working languages of the workshop were Czech, Polish, and Slovak.
The Warsaw meeting marked an important step towards establishing a broader international community of researchers working on Slavic learner corpora and contributed to the development of the workshop series as a regular forum for cooperation and exchange.

Ostrava 2023
Žákovský korpus nerodilých mluvčích češtiny. Současný stav a výhled do budoucna |see more|
25–26 January 2023 | University of Ostrava, Czech Republic
The first workshop was held at the Faculty of Arts, University of Ostrava, on 25–26 January 2023. The idea for the meeting emerged during a visit to the University of Sheffield in autumn 2022, where researchers from Ostrava and Prague discussed the current state and future development of Czech learner corpora.
The workshop brought together seven researchers from three Czech universities – the University of Ostrava, Charles University, and Masaryk University. The presentations and discussions focused primarily on Czech learner corpora, their current state, methodological challenges, and possibilities for their further development and use in linguistic research.
The working language of the workshop was Czech.
Although the meeting was not originally conceived as the beginning of a regular series, it laid the foundations for further cooperation and became the first in a series of workshops devoted to Slavic learner corpus research.
